Guides / Use a group with ChatGPT / Claude

Turn a Facebook group into an AI knowledge base

Busy groups hold thousands of answered questions, real experiences and expert tips, but Facebook search can barely find them. Export the group in an AI-ready format and let ChatGPT, Claude or NotebookLM answer from it.

Step by step

  1. Download the group with comments. The answers are in the comments, so keep "Comments & replies" on.
  2. Export AI-ready JSONL or Markdown. In Export, choose "AI-ready (JSONL)" or "Readable text (Markdown)". Each discussion becomes one document with its full thread.
  3. Upload to your AI tool. Upload corpus.md to ChatGPT, Claude Projects or NotebookLM, or index posts.jsonl in your own RAG pipeline.
  4. Ask questions. Ask things like "What do members recommend for X?" or "Summarise the most common problems with Y" and get answers based on real discussions.
Try it on your group, free. The free version downloads 200 posts with all their comments. Pro is $24.90 once for unlimited.

Why JSONL?

posts.jsonl has one discussion per line with a ready-to-embed "document" field: the post plus its whole comment thread as clean text, along with metadata (date, author, engagement, link). That is exactly what vector databases and RAG frameworks expect.

Keep it fresh

Turn on automatic daily updates and auto-export (Pro) so your knowledge base always includes the latest discussions.

Privacy

Exports contain member names and content. Only upload them to AI tools whose data policies you trust, and consider your group's rules before sharing outside it.
