How to save a Facebook group as a PDF

Printing Facebook pages directly gives you ads, menus and cut-off comments. Here is how to get a clean document with every post and all its comments, ready to save as PDF.

Updated October 2026

Step by step

  1. Download the group. Use FB Group Exporter to download the group with comments.
  2. Export the HTML archive. In Export, choose "Offline archive (HTML)". Use filters to limit the date range if you only need part of the group.
  3. Open and print. Open archive.html in your browser and click "Print / PDF". Every post is expanded with its comments.
  4. Save as PDF. In the print dialog, choose "Save as PDF" as the destination.
Try it on your group, free. The free version downloads 200 posts with all their comments. Pro is $24.90 once for unlimited.

Tips for a nicer PDF

Search first to print only matching discussions, for example everything about one topic. Sort by "Most discussed" to put the best threads first. In the print dialog, turn off headers and footers for a cleaner look.

Use cases

Evidence for moderation or legal matters, offline reading, sharing a summary with people who are not on Facebook, or keeping a record of a community event.
