Guides / Export a Facebook event guest list

How to export the guest list of your Facebook event

Facebook lets hosts see who is going, interested or invited, but gives no download button. Here is how to get that list into a spreadsheet for check-in, seating or a follow-up, in a couple of minutes.

Step by step

  1. Install Group Exporter for Facebook. Add it to Chrome, Edge or Brave and activate Pro (event guest lists are a Pro feature).
  2. Open the Events page. In the extension dashboard, click Events and read the short personal-data notice once.
  3. Paste your event link. Copy the link of your event (facebook.com/events/…) and click "Export guests". The extension opens the event, then reads each tab of its guest list: Going, Interested, Invited.
  4. Download the file. Click "Download CSV" to open it in Excel or Google Sheets, or JSON for other tools. Each row has the name, profile link, Facebook ID and status.
Try it on your group, free. The free version downloads 200 posts with all their comments. Pro is $24.90 once for unlimited.

Who can export a guest list?

Facebook shows the full guest list only to the event’s hosts and co-hosts. If you are a guest, Facebook only shows you friends who responded, so that is all any tool can read. Add a co-host to your event if a team member needs the list.

Does it answer the invitation for me?

No. The extension only opens the guest list and reads it. It never clicks Going, Interested or any other button on the event.

Personal data

A guest list is personal data. Use it for your event (check-in, logistics, a thank-you message) and keep it no longer than you need. Everything stays on your computer: we never receive the list.
